Gaiman V. McFarlane

Posted: August 2, 2010 in Uncategorized

As of Friday, a Judge handed out a ruling in Gaiman V. McFarlane. This ruling was to determine a motion brought on by Neil Gaiman. This motion was for Todd McFarlane to turn over any to all documents pertaining to the “income attributable” characters of Domina, Tiffany and Dark Ages Spawn. That is, Gaiman requested for Todd McFarlane to turn over any to all documents that show the monetary worth of these characters. The brief shows that Gaiman has 50% ownership of the characters Angela and Medieval Spawn. Gaiman claims that Domina, Tiffany and Dark Ages Spawn were derived from Angela and Medieval Spawn. Having equal ownership of the Angela and Medieval Spawn, Neil Gaiman is entitled to all profit that was generated by Domina, Tiffany and Dark Ages Spawn. Judge Barbara B. Crabb sided with Gaiman. I will be posting what was filed on Friday below. Furthermore, I will be providing a better analysis of the document in the coming week.
