Mark Waid Leave Boom! Studios to go freelance

Mark Waid has announced that he is leaving Boom! Studios after three years to go back to being a freelance writer. This means that he is turning over the reins to a new team that will focus on the the future of the company. According to comic book news sites, Waid will continue to write both Irredeemable and Incorruptible up to at least issues #28 and #32. Also, he will longer be the editorial liason for Stan Lee at Boom. During his time at the company he has helped the company to expand it’s focus to include the Pixar-licensed books such as The Incredibles and Cars. The new Editor-In_Chief will be Matt Gagon, who will also take over the role of CCO for Boom! Studios.
